This hospital (asylum) is in the middle of a big city and was built in 1871. You can still see today that it was a beautiful building with the central point being the patio which must have been full of trees, shrubs and flowers. The building was divided into pavilions, one for the men, one for the women. Also present were an operating room for interventions on the nervous system, a laboratory for clinical research, occupational therapy, radiology and electrotherapy and, of course, a dentist. The hospital closed in 1981.
