About the artwork

This macro photo shows a delicate butterfly that has just perched on a flowering heather bush. The pastel background beautifully highlights the soft orange and brown pattern on its wings, while the fresh blue of its body is an unexpected addition of colour that immediately catches the eye. Every hair on his head and paws is visible - a world in miniature, full of sophistication.

This image was created during a quiet morning on the moors, where the sunlight was still low and nature was slowly coming to life. I was touched by the serenity of that moment - the fragility of such a small insect in such a vast environment. The butterfly seemed almost weightless, floating between flower and sky.

With this work, I want to evoke a sense of tenderness and stillness. It shows how powerful simplicity can be, and how valuable it is to see the details of life. For me, it is a reminder of the beauty of the temporary - because like this butterfly, every moment is fleeting, but precious.

The photo was taken with a macro lens and an extremely limited depth-of-field, completely separating background and subject. This work exudes lightness and is ideally suited to interiors where soft colours and natural tranquillity are allowed to prevail.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
