In Spain, you find these cosy flower pots everywhere in the white villages. Often due to the lack of a garden in order to still have some life at the house. They add colour and atmosphere to the streetscape of Andalusia. I am a fan of the atmosphere of the white villages in Andalusia and have visited several during my travels.

The touristy white village of Mijas is located in Andalusia not far from seaside resorts Benalmadena and Fuengirola. It is a popular getaway for tourists visiting the Costa del Sol. We found it a nice white village that you should definitely visit once.
Personally, I am not so keen on the little donkeys and horse-drawn carriages you can ride around in. Rather explore the town on foot. There are several cosy squares where you can sit down to eat or drink something, small shops and lots of atmospheric steps and streets.
