Thaleia ("the Merry, the Flowering"; Latin: Thalia) was the name of both a muse, and one of the Charites, a nymph.
She is the muse of comedy and is known by a comic mask. As a servant and follower of Dionysus, she usually wears an ivy wreath on her head. She was described as "with beautiful cheeks" and "beautiful".
