In a world in constant motion, the figure in this work seems to have come to a standstill - not out of passivity, but out of consciousness. On a simple branch, snaking through the image like a dark lifeline, a human sits in silence. The body is white and bare, stripped of all trappings, a symbol of purity and vulnerability. The figure has no face, for it represents not one person, but each of us.
