April in Central Italy, and one of the first wildflowers to appear in the tall grass is anthriscus sylvestris, or cow parsley. Actually, it has many names including wild chervil, wild beaked parsley, Queen Anne's lace and keck! I like to photograph it with red poppies as the white, delicate, lacey petals really contrast beautifully with the red pop of colour. I was wandering with the dog and saw this plant (which is perennial by the way) with some petals in sunshine, but most of it in shade and it caught my eye. Photo art.
