Badgers are omnivores. They are poor hunters and eat what they come across directly in front of their noses.With a head to torso length of 65-80 cm, the badger (Meles meles) is one of the largest occurring land predators in the Netherlands and the species belongs to the family of mustelids. The badger has a large, broad head and a heavily built stocky body. He has short legs and a short, broad, bushy tail.
