About ‘De Vier Heemskinderen’ by Mike Bing

Op het Verdronkenoord in Alkmaar stond tot 1707 het huis De Vier Heemskinderen, waarin onder meer een koekenbakker was gevestigd. Het pand is in 1707 afgebroken omdat er op de plek een hek moest komen ten bate van de ingang naar de Kapelkerk. Na wat omzwervingen zit de gevelsteen van het pand tegenwoordig in de muur van het pand op de hoek Mient/Waagplein. De verf van de gevelsteen was bijna helemaal verdwenen. Daarom heeft in 2004 een kunstenares (mevrouw van Dam) onder toeziend oog van afdeling monumentenzorg en archeologie van de gemeente de steen weer kleur gegeven. Zij schilderde eerder ook al de gevelsteen van het melkmeisje aan de Oudegracht.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
