Dettifoss is a huge waterfall in northern Iceland. In fact, it is said to be the largest waterfall in Europe in terms of the amount of water coming down per second. The waterfall can be reached from both the west side and the east side. This photo was taken with long exposure from the west side. The Dettifoss is just one of a number of places where water from the 206-km-long, glacial river Jökulsá á Fjöllum, falls down. The area is part of the Vatnajökull National Park.
