This roadside bloomer, the Rootflower, Wild Carrot or Daucus Carota has finished flowering folds its flower stems towards each other after flowering. Then this plant is also called Bird's Nest.
I find this moment of flowering of this beautiful summer plant, so abundant in all the roadsides in our country very special. It shows the power of the flower, seeds are formed and the flower takes care of its offspring in a very intimate, sheltered way.
A very strong bowl is formed, in which the seeds can survive the winter. You see these plants standing proudly upright even in winter, sometimes with a heavy load of snow in the bowl.
I love to study and admire plants. And especially the details of the plant, the vein, the petals, the stem and the pattern of the flower.
In this digital continuity drawing, I depicted the flower in a minimalist way, putting it on paper with one smooth line (by paper in this case I mean the screen of my tablet)
Drawings like this look great in a minimalist interior, like the Scandinavian or Japandi style.

I was always drawing ー as early as primary school, the margin of my notebooks was full of scribbles that didn't have much to do with what was supposed to be there. A lot of nature, especially flora.
