Disco Fever – modern abstract art featuring disco balls

by Bianca ter Riet

Bring the magic of music, light and movement into your home with ‘Disco Fever’, a colourful artwork in which glittering disco balls sparkle against a dynamic backdrop of purple, pink, copper and deep black. The many tiny mirrored surfaces catch the light and create an enchanting play of reflections, causing the artwork to constantly reveal new details and shades of colour.

This modern abstract artwork is inspired by the vibrant atmosphere of the disco, the energy of dance music and the irresistible allure of light. Together, the various disco balls form a rhythmic whole reminiscent of dancing beams of light and the lively atmosphere of a night filled with music. The combination of warm metallic tones and cool purple and pink colours gives the piece a luxurious, contemporary feel. ‘Disco Fever’ is a real eye-catcher for anyone who loves colourful wall art with character. The painting fits beautifully into a modern interior, an eclectic living room, a creative workspace or an atmospheric bedroom. This artwork also comes into its own in a dance studio, music room or hospitality venue. It not only adds colour to the space, but also brings a sense of cheerfulness, freedom and festive energy.

My inspiration

As an artist, I like to be guided by colour, harmony and the atmosphere that an image can evoke. In this piece, I play with light, contrast and repetition. I find it fascinating how small areas of colour can come together to form a sparkling whole, and how a work of art can give a room a completely different feel. With ‘Disco Fever’, I wanted to capture the magic of a dance floor: that moment when light and colour merge and, for a brief instant, everything revolves around fun, energy and movement. This artwork is an ode to life, to music and to the power of colour. A special choice for lovers of modern abstract art, disco, glamour and eye-catching wall art.
