When I knew we were going on holiday to the Moselle, I knew I wanted a photo of one of those hairpin bends in the river. This is the photo that first comes to mind when I think of the Moselle.
During the day I had already taken a photo from this spot. But when I 'saw the sky change in the evening I thought, I must go back.
As luck would have it, the sky actually only got prettier and prettier. With the icing on the cake being the cruise ship passing by, which you can just see sailing on the right, in the reflection of the setting sun.
To get all this on camera, I had to take several photos, all in portrait mode. Which were then merged into one image in post-processing.
I made several series of these. But in the end I chose to use one of the last series, with the boat just in the frame. But the sky as beautifully coloured as possible!
