About "Dreaming"

About the artwork

Dr Annette Schmucker worked as a doctor and acquired her artistic training as a self-taught artist. She says about herself: As a self-taught artist, I work from the awareness that I am not beholden to anyone. I don't have to strive for an "individual signature" and I don't have to paint in a certain direction. Only I myself am a strict "judge" of my paintings.

This great freedom gives me plenty of room for new ideas.

I love the variety in painting and am always working with completely different themes and techniques. I often work on many different techniques and pictures at the same time. I don't want to follow a single fixed line.
What my paintings have in common is their visual language and expression: my aim is to depict light, expanse and space.

I work with both concrete and abstract motifs, and also like to combine the two; my inspiration comes from colour, form, proportion and, above all, light. My primary concern is to depict light and space and ultimately a feeling of freedom.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
