Clematis are such wonderful additions to the garden don't you think?
Think how the clematis blooms in this image grace a garden with their open, friendly, lilac flowers, their crisp petals and fabulous centers that attract all manner of insects. When the flowering season is finished and all that is left are the leaves withering on the tendrils, we have dreams of lilac clematis. And we look forward to the spring when they will once again grace our garden.
This clematis actually grows in my mother's garden in Brighton in the UK. It grows over her greenhouse and is an absolute delight to behold! And it repeats the experience every year. I used to have a house with a pink clematis that grew up a veranda and covered the flat roof with a glorious carpet of blooms every year.
