This photo of the raindrops in the grass is beautiful because of the background.
You probably know them, those dreamy photos with those pretty circles of light in them. At least I personally like them a lot, as long as they are not too overpowering. These points of light or circles are called bokeh. Bokeh is created by photographing points of light with little depth of field, usually against the light. When you photograph these points of light with shallow depth of field, i.e. an open aperture, they blur and create the beautiful light circles in the photo.
The light circles in this photo were created by the backlight being filtered through the leaves of the tree, which is how you get bokeh circles here.
