Duinrand in Motion
Fast..faster... Fastest
A line of cyclists glides like phantoms along the dune edge, while the horizon - sea and clouds - remains imperturbably still. The motion-blur/multiple exposures give the image a dynamic, painterly layering: speed in front, contemplation in the distance. A modern coastal impression in which time and motion coincide.
This digital creation, edited with Photoshop and Painter X3, captured in a dynamic movement is reminiscent of a passage of time. The warm sand colours contrast beautifully with the cool blue tones of the sea and sky. The soft clouds give the image a serene, almost dreamlike atmosphere. In the distance, walkers walk along the coastline. The artwork exudes freedom, speed and the rhythm of a summer day.
Recommended print material:
To enhance the sense of movement and depth:
1. Acrylic glass (glossy) - gives a modern look and makes the colours vibrant and dynamic, which is perfect for the moving effect in this photo.
Aluminium - ideal for a clean look that fits well in minimalist interiors 2.
Canvas or Art frame - emphasises the painterly nature of the edit, with a warm and artisanal look 3.
Format tip
The work presents very pleasantly square; think 80×80 cm or 100×100 cm.
