About the artwork

So many mills, but few are in such a beautiful location as this perfectly preserved polder mill on the eastern shore of the Paterswoldsemeer in the municipality of Haren. Also known as 'De Helper', this mill is a beautiful example of a Dutch landscape with its waterways, lakes, polder, raging pile of clouds and dynamic skies.

Windmills are among the most recognizable monuments in the Netherlands. They are, like church towers, water towers and
lighthouses, beacons in the landscape, landmarks in the silhouette of towns and villages. Watermills
admit themselves less easily, but a water wheel betrays the function of the building. Mills
contribute to the recognisability of the Netherlands in a way that few other buildings do.

This mill was built in 1863 south of the city of Groningen for the drainage of the Helpman polder using a mortar. The mill fell into disrepair in the 1960s and fell into disrepair. Due to the expansion of the city of Groningen and the construction of the A28 in 1969, the mill was demolished in its original location and rebuilt in 1971 near the Paterswoldsemeer in the hamlet of Nijveensterkolk and is still a functionally functioning national monument.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
