About ‘Dyrhólaey’ by Coen Feron
Dyrholaey is a 120 meter high, excellent mountain range, a short distance from Vík and is considered one of the most beautiful coasts of Iceland. The location owes its name to the massive arch that has been eroded by the sea. The literal meaning of the name is, by the way, very appropriate 'doorway'.
