An endless horizon where sky and earth gently merge. Golden traces of light flow into cool blue tones, while fine lines and structures hint at gentle movement. The picture appears abstract and yet familiar - like a memory of a quiet moment by the sea, just before the sun sinks behind the horizon.
This work was created on a stretch of coastline where the tides slowly mould the sand. I wanted to capture the fleeting beauty of the moment - not through a classic still image, but through movement. So the picture was created by deliberately moving the camera during the shoot.
The gentle colour gradients create a feeling of calm and space. It is an image that does not impose itself, but leaves room for thought. The warm golden tones convey a sense of security, while the cool blue and sand colours create a calming balance.
The horizontal movement reflects the incessant dynamics of nature and invites the viewer to let themselves drift for a moment.
The work was photographed with a long exposure and controlled camera movement. This creates the painterly, almost impressionistic effect that makes the picture unique. Despite the abstraction, the essence of the landscape remains tangible.
This picture is perfect for modern, minimalist rooms in which it acts as a calming element. It is ideal for living or working spaces, but also for hotels or surgeries, where it creates a meditative atmosphere. The combination of warm and cool tones blends harmoniously into many colour schemes and invites the viewer to pause for a moment.
