I took this photo during a clear summer day in Switzerland, focused on the Eiger. It is a mountain that, even if you have seen it many times before, you find impressive every time. What particularly attracted me at this moment was the contrast between the dark rock face and the fresh snow on top. The sky was clear blue, with no distractions, giving the mountain itself all the attention.
I tried to capture the Eiger as I saw it at that moment: big, silent and totally unruffled. No special tricks or filters, just a direct representation of that view. The details in the rocks and snow made the photo interesting enough. What I particularly like is how the light runs along the wall, making certain areas light up while others remain dark. I think that play of light and shadow gives the mountain its character.
For me, this is a photo that shows why the Alps have such an attraction. You don't have to invent or exaggerate anything; the mountain does the work itself. It is an image that gives peace but also has something powerful about it. A moment that I wanted to take and keep - and which now comes into its own as a wall decoration, especially if you like clean lines, nature and mountain landscapes that speak for themselves.
