About "Elbphilharmonie and HafenCity - Reflections in the Hamburg rain"

About the artwork

This fascinating shot captures the impressive architecture of Hamburg's HafenCity on a cloudy day, with a puddle in the foreground serving as a natural mirror and doubling the scene in a unique way. At the centre of the picture is the majestic Elbphilharmonie concert hall, whose characteristic curved glass façade with its many windows rises elegantly into the sky. Directly next to it, on the left, is another striking building with a red brick façade and numerous windows, which emphasises the modern yet traditional architecture of the district.

The buildings are reflected clearly and in great detail in the mirror-smooth surface of the large puddle in the lower part of the picture. This reflection adds dimension and depth to the composition by turning the architectural forms upside down while capturing the cloudy sky light. The wet surfaces of the ground add to the shiny and reflective quality of the scene.

In the background, other buildings of the Hamburg skyline can be seen, emphasising the dense development and urban character of the city. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
