About ‘Elks in the Bow River’ by Louise Poortvliet
Elks are crossing the Bow River and its little islands in Banff National Park, Canada. The burling can be heard throughout the Bow Valley as a sign of their readiness to pair.
Because the river is not very deep the elks can cross it easily in their search of females.

Hi there! I am Louise Poortvliet, 36 years old and a fanatic photographer ever since I was a little girl. Besides photography, travel is one of my passions. And these things combine so well!
I get quite some cool feedback about pictures I create while travelling. Take a look in my shop and see for yourself. There just might be one of my photos decorating your walls!
