Émile-Allain Séguy (1920 - 1951) became a popular French designer during the Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements in the 1920s. E.A. Séguy focussed mainly on the design of patterns and textiles and was strongly influenced by nature. He was particularly fascinated by the complex patterns and beauty of insects, which he regarded as "mechanical wonders" and which provided ample inspiration for interior design.
