Paul Gustave Fischer (1860-1934) was a Danish painter of the Copenhagen School of Painting. Self-taught at first, he later studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Known for his cityscapes, portraits and genre scenes, Fischer painted lively depictions of urban life in Copenhagen. His works, characterised by realism and impressionism, capture subtle atmospheres and everyday moments. Fischer made a significant contribution to Danish art history.
