About ‘Equinox Veil Horizon’ by Manuela Dekkers

Equinox Veil Horizon unfolds in a horizontal movement in which light and depth slowly converge. The work exudes a sense of vastness, as if the shapes are not in the foreground, but floating somewhere between near and far.

Transparent layers in ivory, soft grey and warm beige slide over each other like light veils. They are intersected by fine gold lines that follow the surface without breaking it. These lines act not as accent, but as rhythm - a quiet undercurrent that suggests movement without forcing direction.

The dark background carries the whole, reinforcing the contrast between weight and lightness. Texture and softness coexist here, making the image feel both tactile and hushed. Nothing is expressed; everything remains in a state of possibility.

Within Mythos of Spring, this work represents a moment of equality between light and shadow. Not as a transition that is marked, but as a landscape in which both are allowed to be present. It is an image of breathing space, in which time stretches and the eye is allowed to continue to wander.

In an interior, Equinox Veil Horizon brings calm and depth. The work connects horizontal lines in space and subtly responds to changing light. A refined presence that amplifies silence, without naming it.
