Beautiful flowers at the foot of the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam The Erasmus Bridge is the second bridge across the Nieuwe Maas river in the centre of Rotterdam in the Port of Rotterdam, next to the Willemsbrug, and is named after the Dutch priest and humanist Erasmus. The bridge connects the Kop van Zuid neighbourhood with the city centre on the north side of the river. Designed by Ben van Berkel (UNStudio) and completed in 1996, the Erasmus Bridge is the first of its kind in Rotterdam. The 284-metre-long cable-stayed bridge has a 139-metre-high articulated asymmetrical steel pylon. The bridge is nicknamed "The Swan" because of this. This photo is a very high-resolution shot and perfectly suited for large-format prints and wall coverings. Ratio 3:2 Ratio 3:2
