The Krämerbrücke is a landmark of the city of Erfurt. It is the longest continuously built and inhabited bridge in Europe. Originally, the 120 metre long Krämerbrücke was built with 62 narrow houses, which were later reduced to 32 houses. Of the two former bridgehead churches at either end of the bridge, the eastern Ägidienkirche still exists today.
