The picture shows a woman's body that is creepily interwoven with rotten and corroded wood. The textures of the wood seem to permeate the body, creating a morbid but mesmerising aesthetic of transience and decay. This depiction conveys a sense of sadness and loss, while at the same time thematising the connection between man and nature in its vulnerable form. The composition encourages reflection on the themes of transience and transformation.
All my pictures are created from my own photos, which have been taken over many years of creative photographic work. They contain my enthusiasm for the abstract details of nature and the beauty of classic nude photography.
In times in which a naked woman appears more dangerous than radical political symbols and the depiction of violence, whereby much beauty is no longer allowed to be shown, a kind of visual confrontation with the development of the visual arts. AI was not used because, although it would perfect the art world, it would also flatten it image by image until all that remained was white noise.
The images are not created with just a few clicks. It is often a long process with many drafts, rejections and overdrafts. Until I like it. Until it touches me. Until I can stand by it.
