Such a printing press from Openpresproject is not easy to tame. So it took a lot of proofs to arrive at a satisfactory result for 'Arracher ce gros cul à l'univers'.
For 'S'il faut qu'on se tue...', fragments of those proofs were merged into a digital collage creating an abstract work.
The composition is dominated by different shades of blue, from light ice blue to deep indigo blue, which flow into each other and create a dynamic, almost organic pattern.
'Arracher ce gros cul à l'univers' and 'Et s'il faut qu'on se tue, mourir en l'air' are about a rebellious desire for liberation and about breaking through limitations, with a willingness to pay the ultimate price for doing so.
The two works belong together but you can of course watch them separately.
