About "Arracher ce gros cul à l'univers"

by Erik Roger

About the artwork

Martin Schneider and Dominik Schmitz of Openpressproject had a revolutionary idea and designed a small 3D spun printing press. The building plans are open source so anyone can print this press themselves with a 3D printer. A printed printing press, what a crazy idea.

The original work is tiny (7 X 7 cm) and was then digitally manipulated for larger reproductions

It is a tetraprint in shades of blue and shows a cherub in full flight. The figure is drawn with loose, expressive lines against a light, atmospheric background. The pose is dynamic and suggests a sense of freedom.

A little brother of this work appeared in the catalogue of Open print exchange 2021/22 and travelled to
- Den Bosch (Netherlands)
- Munich (Duisland)
- Schwäbisch Gmünd (Germany)
- Bonn (Germany)
- Nagoya (Japan)

'Arracher ce gros cul' is part of a diptych with 'Et s'il faut qu'on se tue, mourir en l'air'
Of course, the two works can also exist on their own.
