Eternal Spring by Color Square

The work depicts an abstract, almost floral composition in which soft pastel shades and bold paint textures blend into one another. Large areas of white, pale green, soft blue and powder pink are interspersed with deep, dark green accents. This creates an image that feels fresh, natural and layered all at once. Although no flowers are depicted literally, the composition strongly evokes the impression of a lush garden that, through light and movement, slowly dissolves into abstraction. The thick, visible brushstrokes play an important role. Some sections are built up in an almost impasto style, whilst other areas remain more transparent and tranquil. There is a greater sense of breathing space, particularly on the right-hand side; there, the forms fade into a light, almost mist-like background. On the left and at the bottom, however, more colour and contrast gather, drawing the eye through the painting time and again.
A subtle detail is the small pink patches between the green and blue. They act as hidden blossoms and soften the cooler colours. The dark petrol and green tones then create depth, as if shady leaves were hidden amongst all the light patches of paint.
The whole piece has the atmosphere of an abstract spring flower garden: light, romantic and organic, yet with enough expressiveness to give the work a contemporary feel.
