About the artwork

A lone, bare tree takes centre stage in this portrait, rooted in the cracked, white clay plain of Deadvlei. In the background, a majestic, sand dune rises, bathed in sunlight. Above it, a clear blue sky unfolds, without a cloud disturbing the picture.

My inspiration came from the timeless beauty of this place: a landscape where nothing seems to move, but where every line and colour tells a story of survival and impermanence. Deadvlei is a silent witness of centuries of drought, but also of indestructible beauty.

The atmosphere of the work is serene, almost meditative. It is the silence you hear when the wind dies down, and the warmth you feel without anyone around.

With this sculpture, I want to show that beauty is not always found in abundance or lushness, but rather in simplicity and stillness. It is a reminder that something beautiful can exist even in the harshest of circumstances.

In an interior, this work forms a powerful resting point. The contrasting colours and clean composition draw the eye, while the calm and minimalist shapes exude a calmness that enriches any space.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
