My inspiration came from the timeless beauty of this place: a landscape where nothing seems to move, but where every line and colour tells a story of survival and impermanence. Deadvlei is a silent witness of centuries of drought, but also of indestructible beauty.
The atmosphere of the work is serene, almost meditative. It is the silence you hear when the wind dies down, and the warmth you feel without anyone around.
