About the artwork
Ever since I saw the film " Lawrence of Arabia" for the first time, I wanted to visit this desert.
Now I had the opportunity to go hiking and spend the night in typical Bedouin tents.
On the last evening there was even a thunderstorm with heavy rain. This had the effect of making the wet desert sand glow reddish in the evening sun.
From an elevated vantage point, the panorama stretches from the massif of " Al Qattar" to the
" Umm Ishrin".
Next to the " Seven Pillars of Wisdom" is
Al Qattar" is the most famous of the mighty sandstone massifs in Wadi Rum.
You can still see a Bedouin riding his dromedaries on the wide plain of the wadi.
In the foreground, a small green broom bush stands on the red sand, which is a nice contrast.
The wide panoramic view of the sandstone massifs is simply uniquely beautiful and the bright colour of the sand is a real eye-catcher.
The landscape invites you to perhaps embark on a desert adventure in Jordan.
