During a Nightshoot at the National Military Museum at former airbase Soesterberg, this 'Orange Jumper' took centre stage.
This former Dutch Air Force test aircraft has been given a nice spot at former Soesterberg airbase, where the National Military Museum is also located.
The streamline of this iconic aircraft is unique as far as I am concerned, and this photo is a wonderful reminder of the fighter aircraft that was in service with the Royal Netherlands Air Force for over 40 years and will most likely be seen for the last time in the Dutch skies this September.
At least this aircraft has been preserved and as the sun was slowly setting, I was happy to take this close-up of this striking aircraft.
On a tripod with a very long shutter speed (20 seconds), I managed to take this picture.
The timeless design of this very reliable aircraft that caused furore as a multi-role fighter with many countries around the world.
