This is a room in the former Sphinx factory in Maastricht. Previously, ceramic products such as tiles and crockery were made in this factory. The factory was founded in the 19th century by Petrus Regout, who created a lot of employment during that time. There are many rumors about these factories. For example, a tunnel would run from houses to the factory to hide the fact that child labor was being performed. The children could then reach the factory unseen.
The photo is taken in a symmetrical perspective and with a lot of depth which makes it pleasant to look at the photo.
