This picture was taken in a tunnel of the Landschaftspark in Duisburg. Duisburg is known for its heavy industry. This tunnel is part of a complex where metal was processed until 1985.
In the 80s punk was very popular in Germany. The "UK 82 Generation", the second punk generation, was on the rise. This form of Punk music was a harder and faster form than the first generation. The clothing was also more exuberant. Everyone knows the leather jackets, the colorful clothes and the rooster combs, a typical fashion image of this generation. The scenery of Landschaftspark fits perfectly with this music and the accompanying culture.
