It could be a shop in town, a cheerful flat perhaps, but of course you can let your own imagination loose on these twenty-nine rectangular shapes. (Probably the painting with a green background is the only real rectangle. The rest are drawn freehand)
This creates an atmosphere, a world of your own to get lost in. A maze in which your eyes search for a foothold. Is it the colour, the shape, the gradient?

There are six atmospheric versions of this work: this colourful version with fresh colours (Kermis) , one tending towards purple (Almost night), a blue-green one (Are any screens still on?) and a more green version (Woodland), one with autumn colours (Autumn) and one without a gradient within the green squares (Green).
