Félix Édouard Vallotton (Lausanne, Switzerland, 28 December 1865 - Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, 29 December 1925) was a painter of Swiss origin.
He made extensive use of printing techniques; he played with the extreme black and white contrasts of wood printing. Vallotton was the one who revived the technique of wood engraving. He would continue to work with this technique for many years; a large part of his income came from his engravings.
