This woman sits as a nude model on the ground with a furrow between her legs. In the nude portrait the girl sits with her head on her arms as if she is tired or gives up hope.
Only half of the naked body is depicted in the model's work of art. One leg is bare and only part of the torso and a tit are visible.
All in all, a sensual erotic picture with romance.
Egon Schiele (Tulln, 12 June 1890 - Vienna, 31 October 1918) was an Austrian expressionist painter. The artist painted sexual acts and went from scandal to scandal. The works of the artist belong to the painting style of the Viennese Sezession. Schiele's drawings and paintings are mainly sexy images of people.
Because of the strong use of lines Schiele can be seen as a draughtsman rather than a painter. Color in the paintings is only applied afterwards. The use of colour, however, greatly enhances the alienating effect. The painter uses powerful angular lines. The depicted bodies are thus experienced as strange and often frightening. Both women and men are rendered ruthlessly in their nudity, in unusual poses. The angular shapes of the body, the unrealistic colours and the often panicky look in the eyes make these portraits very alienating with an explicitly sexual, narcissistic and exhibitionistic character.
