About ‘Female sparrowhawk’ by Sabrina de Vries

We spend our weekends on the edge of the woods, and the sparrowhawk is our lovely neighbour. She circles quietly through the air and sometimes hovers for a moment. You follow her and squint against the bright light. For a split second, you can’t see a thing. The next second, you’re suddenly face to face with her. Absolutely fantastic – a truly fascinating bird.

On any ordinary day, there is a whole world of its own in nature that goes about its business entirely on its own terms and asks no one’s permission. Some time ago, a female sparrowhawk dived into our garden at full speed, straight into our hedge. Lightning-fast and unerring.

Today we were lucky enough that this sparrowhawk had a moment to let us observe her at leisure for over 40 seconds. Less than half an hour later, she was cutting through the air like a knife once more and the hunt was on again.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
