Finis Terrae
If you go to the village of El Tablado on La Palma, you really feel like you're at the end of the world. It is located at the far north end of the island and the road there is adventurous.
Only 50 people live there at the moment and that number is decreasing partly due to its difficult location in relation to jobs.
I always have a soft spot for places like this. The stories there are of people from the days when bananas and forestry still offered enough prospects to live here.
Because of its location, bananas and wood from the backwoods were collected by boat and transported to the port of Santa Cruz de la Palma.
But this trade died out and so did the people over time.
But what a beautiful place
