About ‘Fishing boat in Timmendor on Poel’ by Holger Felix

A fishing boat and its gear in the harbour of Timmendorf Hafen on the Baltic Sea island of Poel. It’s a pleasure to watch the scene unfold. These are working vessels; you can almost smell the fish, the sea and the wind. The red gillnet flags mark the location of the gillnets in the sea. The active Timmendorf lighthouse, visible in the background of the picture, guides sailors into the harbour. Wismar Bay begins on the island of Poel. It ends at the harbour of the Hanseatic city of Wismar.

I started with a simple roll film camera in b/w, model Pouva Start from 1952. In my late youth I got my first analog SLR camera. Today I am using products from Canon.
