That Brazilians know about colour should come as no surprise, but I found in the colours of the fishing boats located in the bay to be quite beautiful.
Painting Mondrian jobs on your boat, again, I find it extremely fascinating. At the time I took this photo, I asked the fishermen in the background if they knew whose boat it was - they did, the person was not present - and why they used those colours. The reason why the boats are so characteristically and expressively coloured, they told me, is that they stand out among the large ocean-going vessels that populate the same waters and one can recognise each other (and the authorities) from a great distance.
