The Camargue is located in the south of France. The area borders the Mediterranean Sea. It is a wetland, but is better known as the place in Europe where pink flamingos, black bulls and grey-white horses can be seen in the wild. You can take that 'wild' as for the horses and bulls with a grain of salt. The photo was taken during a visit to the 'Ornithological Park of Pont de Gau', just north of Saintes-Marie-de-la-Mer. Here there is quite a colony of the indeed wild flamingo's. Beautiful animals that are good to photograph from one of the many bird huts in the area.
