Not wanting to give all my kaleidoscopic artworks English names, I sometimes use other languages. Flor de Verão is Portuguese and means "summer flower". Appropriate because this work is based on a close-up of the flowers of an albizia julibrissin. And that tree, also known as the Persian sleeping tree, flowers quite late, often not until early summer.
In this edit, I superimposed the photo in seven copies, rotated it and made it transparent. Finally, I also added a relief effect, as if the work had been painted with thick blobs of paint.
Besides being a late bloomer, the albizia is also a beauty, with its fluffy pink blossoms and tiny green leaves. Both remain recognisable in this arrangement, even if in abstract forms.
My work can be found in the border regions of photography, painting and computer visuals. With my company 3Develop I do work in commission but I use the same techniques, skills and software to make free work.
