On a cold misty morning, this Fly Pine stood in the ripened grass, with the rising sun beautifully shining through the branches. It was wonderfully quiet, only the geese could be heard yawning and otherwise there was only nature with all its soft sounds. For me, always a nice moment of the day before all the hustle and bustle wakes up around you. The advantage of getting out of bed early.
I always like the star shape of the sun through the small aperture, also the soft light of the morning sun on the frozen grass gives this photo an extra dimension for me. The golden hour was also really golden. By choosing this position in relation to the sun, I got the light through the kidney overgrown part in the tree.
I really think a Fly Pine is a magnificent tree. Knowing that it has been in this spot for many years and defies all types of weather. What has happened since it has been here? Things you don't often think about, but which can blow your mind.
I was born and live in the Netherlands. From my childhood I have been photographing, but the last 10 years I've been really active with it.
My preference is for landscape and macro photography, but I also like to experiment with patterns and the like.
