About ‘Flysch-4’ by Gert van Eck
Flysch is a succession of sedimentary rocks formed in deep marine foreshore basins at the edge of a forming mountain range. While this all sounds very technical, it also produces some pretty colourful pictures. This is because they are all different rock types and the mineral stop is also different locally.

I started photography when I was fifteen, back in the days of rolls of film and darkrooms. Professionally, I like to photograph for companies, people working on something and also just customised photo shoots or just portraits.
My autonomous work consists of reportage, travel photography, nature photography including landscape, animals, weather and atmospheric phenomena and sometimes a little astrophotography. I mean the night sky, but without telescopes.
