About the artwork

I took this photo during a misty morning walk in the Dolomites. The mountain peaks were partly hidden behind low clouds and the light was soft and diffuse, exactly the conditions I like to look for. It is moments like this that touch me: when nature feels still and your surroundings seem almost timeless.

During my trip, I was always looking for moments like this: places where the atmosphere is 'moody', where light and sky work together to give nature an almost dreamlike charge.

My style is all about atmosphere. I often photograph on days when the light is a bit heavier, with mist or clouds, because that evokes a feeling I can relate to. This photo is a good example of that, subdued colours, soft transitions and a calm overall image.

For me, a photograph does not have to be loudly present in an interior. Instead, I hope this work adds something without being overpowering, an image that fits in a quiet space, or that someone recognises from their own experience with mountains, travelling or a preference for calm nature images.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
