The differences between the three Ford Taunus models are not very great in terms of dimensions, only the P5 model is approx. 5 cm wider. Then the initially round headlights gave way to oval to rectangular ones, which the successor P7, P7a and P7b also retained.
Here, as a triptych, each body shape stands out in its own right, but the most striking is the P3 bathtub, which many people still remember fondly today. Unfortunately, all three are hardly ever seen on Germany's roads and certainly not at the many classic car meetings that take place up and down the country every year.
One of the main reasons for the fact that these old Ford Taunus are so difficult to obtain is probably the major fire in the spare parts warehouse at the Ford works in Cologne in 1977, although many things are now being reproduced, but hardly any body parts or interiors.
