The second-generation Ford Thunderbird, also known as the Square Bird, built in 1960, is a stylish and elegant American sports car. It was designed as a personal luxury vehicle and is characterised by its modern design with clean lines and an extremely striking front end. Under the bonnet, it had a V8 engine that provided good performance. The 1960 Thunderbird was very popular with car enthusiasts because it combined comfort, style and driving pleasure. With the 1960 model year, it set a new record: 92,843 units were sold, including 11,860 convertibles, and the total for all three years of production was 198,191 units.
Today, it is considered a classic collector's car and a symbol of the American automobile culture of the 1960s, when style and comfort were still important.
